    The band was formed in Oradea (Romania) in late 1999 by Peter Moynahan, and debuted as a traditional Irish music group. Since 2005 plays celtic-rock and after a two year break the Blackbeers were back on stage celebrating the 2010 edditon of St. Patrick’s Day in a new line-up, now also performing Irish-punk.
